Easy Valentine’s Day Look

Ahh, love is in the air. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, are you ready?

I of course will be working this upcoming Saturday, but I am thinking chocolate is definitely in the cards (I enjoy chocolate all the time, despite what the calendar states).

And, if you are indeed a fan of chocolate, check out “Too Faced” and their chocolate bar. It smells like chocolate and is one of my favorite palettes as of lately.

Bold Berry Lips

Greetings, friends!

What a chilly day in Wisconsin. I think it is a “balmy” 15 degrees. Give me something tropical, please.

I am currently sitting at Panera (my second home, let’s be serious), trying to get some things done and plan out my upcoming week. I live by my $1 planner I bought at Target. And I color-code things. Seriously. Problems? Nope! Organized!

This look today is a beautiful neutral eye with a bold “in your face” lip. I have also been a fan of the dark lipsticks and they are great for the fall and winter (but if you are like me, I love this color year round!)

Things I’ve Been Loving Lately

Hello friends!

My, my, my. I have been been loving a bunch of things lately! Such as (but not limited to):

1. A solid workout at Crossfit (you should see my hands though, yikes!)

2. Naps (I need more of them)

3. Skinny hot cocoa from Starbucks (no whip, man)

4. Netflix binge sessions (Dance Moms…don’t judge)

5. Chinese with my gal pal Katie

On-The-Go-Look

Let’s face it, sometimes we don’t have a whole lot of time to spend on our makeup. We live busy lives, we are hungry and feel it necessary to eat that bowl of cereal than spend 20 minutes contour in cheekbones. As a television producer, I am behind the scenes but I still enjoy looking good (I firmly believe looking good makes you just FEEL good).

But, with a busy schedule like mine, I don’t always have a lot of time to spend doing my makeup.

Greetings, readers. Okay, no need to call me “Haute” or anything, but I do go by “Hills” on occasion. In fact, I am completely OK with that.

I have been wanting to start this beauty blog for quite awhile and well, here I am! As a University of Minnesota alumna with a degree in journalism, you can probably guess that I enjoy writing. In fact, I do it for a living.

But I have always had a passion for makeup: an outlet to get creative with color and let my imagination soar.

So, let’s put two and two together, right?
